Case details

Cargo Specification:

·Different kinds of steel structure andequipment for a total of 60 thousand freight tons;

·18 transport batches in total;

The max cargo’s length/width/height/weight/: 13.0M/12.6M/8.3M/110T

The specification for typical breakbulkcargo:

1. Downflow tower: 9.5*9.5*8.3M, 41T;

2. Digester: 13.0*6.8*6.8,110T;

3. Digester:12.6*12.6*3.5, 80T;

Transport route: Shanghai / Dalian / Guangzhou-Singapore /Palembang - OKI owner’s wharf

Applied Equipment:

1. Heavy-lift multi-purpose vessel;

2. Indonesian LCT


Mission Difficulties:

Strictly requirement on delivery term as for emergent repair for sub-station in Indonesia;

Inducement call and Last in First out term on ocean vessel chartering;

LCT barge transportation by Roll-on/off method from Ciwandan to the Jobsite in Surabaya.

Applied Equipment:

1. Handy-size single deck bulk vessel;

2. Heavy lift multi-purpose vessel;

3. DWT2000 barge and tug boat.


Project difficulty:

It is Asia's largest pulp plant production base and our company is one of the main carriers of the 400 thousand freight tons cargo;

Due to the great disparity for equipment specifications, we need to choose the most suitable vessel based on the cargo condition;

The project required us to choose the suitable transshipment port around the Malacca Strait of Southeast Asia in accordance with the actual situation of each batch of cargo.

We may face large shipment volumes, great involved factories and high transport density each time.

We need to coordinate the ocean shipment from China to the transshioment port and the barge shipment from the transshipment port to the project site at the same time.
